Counter-Strike 2 may receive a major Armory Pass update in the coming weeks
New speculation regarding the upcoming Armory Pass update has emerged in the community. Insider and game files analyst Thour stated that the major update could arrive between March 30th and April 4th. This prediction comes after the official Counter-Strike 2 account reminded the community that submissions for the Call to Arms-ory program on the Workshop have closed.
Valve is closing the Workshop item submission process.
The developers previously reminded content creators that they had one week left to submit their work for review. This concerns items for the upcoming Armory update, specifically:
- weapon skins (weapon finishes)
- other cosmetic items for the game
Applications are accepted until March 13, after which the Valve team will begin selecting items for inclusion in the game. This deadline has sparked speculation about the update’s imminent release.
Thour: The case may be removed from the game
According to Thour, the upcoming update could bring several significant changes to the Armory system. He suggests that:
- One case can be removed from the game
- two weapon collections will disappear
- Two sticker collections may also be removed
At the same time, the insider believes that there will be no new case in this update.
This idea was echoed by other community users. For example, content creator aiden suggested that after the recent changes to the game, the developers may abandon the idea of adding a new crate.

What is known about the possible update
There’s currently no official confirmation from Valve. However, the Workshop item deadline and the developers’ activity around Call to Arms-ory suggest that new content for Counter-Strike 2 could arrive in the coming weeks.
If insider predictions come true, players could receive a major Armory update in early April that will change the makeup of the game’s cosmetic collections.
