Counter-Strike 2 has released an update with the Dead Hand collection and 22 new gloves
Valve released a new update for Counter-Strike 2, adding a new collection of Dead Hand skins. The update, released on March 12, 2026, introduced new cosmetic items created by the community.
The main part of the update was the Dead Hand Collection, which included 17 new weapon skins, as well as 22 completely new pairs of gloves, which are rare special items.
What’s included in the Dead Hand Collection?
The new collection was created with the help of creators from the Steam Workshop community and focuses on stylish and contrasting designs.
It includes:
- 17 new weapon skins
- 22 new pairs of gloves that can be obtained as a rare special item
The gloves are the main highlight of the collection – they are designed to add more style to highlights and frags in matches.

How to get new items
Items from the Dead Hand collection can be obtained through Dead Hand Terminals. They are already available in the game and may drop as weekly drops.
Thus, Valve continues to develop the cosmetic item system, which allows you to earn new skins during regular play.
Update size
According to the developers, the update is approximately 2 GB in size, which is due to the addition of a large number of new models and textures.
Other update details:
- Fixed a pixel gap in the doors on the long section of the Dust2 map;
- The Alpine map has been updated to the latest version from the workshop.
The new update doesn’t change the game’s balance, as all added items are purely cosmetic. However, the Dead Hand Collection expands the range of skins in Counter-Strike 2 and provides players with new inventory customization options.
