For the first time, an outsider visited Valve’s Counter-Strike 2 development department
A Reddit user shared a unique experience visiting Valve’s office, where he even managed to get into the Counter-Strike 2 developer room. However, it’s difficult to fully verify the authenticity of this story, although the author provided photographs from the office.
According to him, getting such a tour these days is extremely difficult—since the pandemic, the company has mostly limited them to schoolchildren or people with internal connections. This is how the author got there, having received permission to visit the CS2 developer room. The author notes that the department employs about 20 people, and during work hours, some of them played the game, testing modes and maps, one of which was Warden, and another, according to the author, an updated Cache or an alternative version of Warden.

Nightwish’s AK-47 may be one of the developers’ favorite skins, as a full-size replica of it hangs at the entrance to the room. They were also shown a special recording room where the sound engineer creates audio for the games. Various props are housed there.
The details provided by the author of the post are impressive and add credibility to his claim that he actually visited the site where all the CS2 development work takes place.
